Grateful During Challenging Times!

We are so grateful for our entire TCS community: For our parents/guardians, who have been so gracious, supportive and understanding as we've navigated school closure, and as our classrooms transition to distance and at home learning. For our students, who are already eagerly participating in new activities and connections with their teachers and classmates. For our directors and board, who had to make tough decisions on short notice, and continue to give of themselves tirelessly on all fronts. For our faculty, who at a recent meeting made it clear that we plan to go above and beyond endless worksheets and links to distract and provide busywork, and instead continue to create projects and activities that give our kids joy and a purpose to their learning. Of equal concern is that students continue to feel connected to and supported by their teachers and classmates. Teachers have also committed themselves to making regular and personal contact with each student and their family to help adapt lessons and activities to each family's unique situation. Similarly, our faculty is adamant about giving students a voice in how and what they want to learn. It's so great to see and know that we can stand together for our students even when circumstances keep us physically apart. Thank you, each and every one, as we move forward! The Children's School
