One hundred brand-new books have found a home in the TCS library thanks to “Bring a Book Back to School,” the school’s second annual book drive. The aim of the initiative is to keep the TCS library collection updated, so that the space is always stocked with exciting new books and fresh copies of much-loved classics. Six recent graduates of The Children's School have won a $500 Environmental Activism Award (Local) in the One Earth Young Filmmakers Contest for their short film "Generating Our Future." Earlier this month, The Children's School's 6th grade class, the French Lemons, had their film adaptation of The Mona Lisa Vanishes selected for the 90-Second Newbery Film Festival and screened at the Harold Washington Library Center.
